Pocket Cloth Nappies

A pocket nappy is almost like a disposable but made of cloth and washable. It is a waterproof outer layer sewn together with a stay-dry fleece inner layer, and between the two layers you place an absorbent insert. This absorbent is put inside the pocket for each use and removed after each use so that both pieces can be washed. Finally, you can use a liner which will help cleaning up messy nappies and which protects the nappy from the build up of barrier creams.

The advantage is that you can customise your absorbency, and trimness, to meet your baby's changing needs. Start with a prefold inside your pocket nappy for a trim fit on a younger baby during the day, or a couple of micro fleece boosters in your pocket nappy for a toddler at night. By filling all your pocket nappies as they come out of the wash you have an all-in-one ready for babysitters, carers and the nappy-challenged who are not used to changing your baby to simply snap right on in one motion.

You can be sure that your nappy is clean through by removing the inner, and this has the added benefit of decreasing the drying time.
