Fitted Cloth Nappies

This is a two piece cloth nappy system. The Fitted Nappy is the absorbent part and the wrap / cover is the waterproof part. You will usually need one cover to every 3 or 4 nappy changes. You can use a liner which will help cleaning up messy nappies and which protects the nappy from the build up of barrier creams.

The difference between these and pre-folds is that a fitted nappy is already shaped. It has elastication around the legs and waist of the nappy which provides excellent containment. For additional absorbsion for overnight, include a booster between the fitted nappy and the wrap.

It is common knowledge that during the pre weaning period, two piece fitted nappy systems tend to be more reliable than most pre-folds, flat nappies, pockets and all in ones. Very few nappies are 100% bomb proof against newborn explosions including disposables. However, in our experience, almost all fitted nappies are significantly better at containment than any other nappy system including disposables.
